Biophysical Science (programme 17)

The Bachelor of Science (Biophysical Science) requires the completion of at least one of the following majors:

  • Biophysics

  • Biophysical Chemistry;

and allows you to complete a second major in one of:
  • Biochemistry

  • Chemistry

  • Pharmacology

  • Physiology.

The full course requirements are:

Physics 100 or 140
 
Chemistry 100 or 120

Units to a minimum value of 48 pts selected as follows:
 
at least one of:

  • Biosphere 201 and Biosensing 202 and Biodata 203 and Body Physics 204
  • Chemistry 200 or 260
 
at least one of:
 
If necessary additional units selected from the above, or relevant electives
Units to a minimum value of 48 pts selected as follows:
 
at least one of:

  • Biophysics 314
  • Biophysical Chemistry 306
if necessary units chosen from:
 

Unit choices in second year must take into account the prerequisites for the intended majors and third-year units (see individual links for details) and in all years must be approved by an appropriate Faculty course adviser.
